Limb Lab in Rochester to offer the “LUKE” arm

“ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Limb Lab will be the first private company in the Midwest to fit and provide the “LUKE” prosthetic arm.

LUKE stands for Life Under Kinetic Evolution.

Developers said the arms offers more flexibility, strength, and independence for people with forearm through shoulder-level amputations.

Julie Wurmnest of Amboy, Minn. lost her arm 12 years ago and is getting fitted for the LUKE arm, which she said will allow her to do yoga.

“Yeah and just simple tasks as grabbing things above your head and being able to have a hand with that many functions,” Wurmnest said.”
