Farida traveled from Tanzania to Limb Lab Rochester seeking specialized upper-limb prosthetic care – thanks to the Limb Lab Foundation.
Farida’s goals were straightforward but meaningful: increase her independence, reduce the strain on her body, and make everyday activities easier. Working alongside prosthetists and occupational therapists, she received customized prosthetic devices and training to help her use them effectively.
Farida returned when her original sockets had worn out and her goals had evolved. As an aspiring lawyer, she wanted to be able to use a computer, type, and navigate everyday technology more independently.
