Gavin’s Comeback Started in Scottsdale
Gavin has always been a natural competitor, playing soccer, baseball, and football from a young age. Movement wasn’t just what he did, it was who he was.
Then, during a soccer game, everything changed. After a severe leg injury and a year of attempted limb salvage, Gavin and his family faced a life-altering decision: amputation.
At first, there was only one question:
“Why me?”
But over time, it shifted:
“Why not me?”

When Gavin came to Limb Lab Scottsdale, things began to change. With support from his care team and a focus on activity-specific prosthetic solutions, he started rebuilding physically and mentally toward an active lifestyle.
Step by step, he returned to movement. Walking became running. Running became training. And with it, confidence came back.
Today, Gavin trains on activity-specific prostheses built for performance, giving him the stability, mobility, and confidence to sprint freely. His next goal? Competing as a Paralympic athlete.
