My high school shop teacher introduced me to prosthetics and orthotics. I loved building just about anything, from furniture to cabinets to houses. I went on to complete my undergraduate studies at Doane College, where I volunteered and became a technician for a prosthetic company in Lincoln. I was sold right then and there. I loved fabricating, fitting, and meeting everyone who came into the office.
I returned to Lincoln in 2005 and began managing, creating, and building relationships in the Lincoln area. Few things make me feel better – or more proud – than creating devices that affect people in the direct and personal ways that my work does.
My wife Amanda and I have been in the Lincoln community for the last 15 years. Our two daughters have grown up here, and we all love this community along with the life we have built here. I am excited to join such a client-centered practice and to bring such a state-of-the-art and specialized facility to Lincoln.
Growing up in South Dakota, I always enjoyed working with my hands and helping whenever I was able to. As a young boy, my grandfather had a few of his fingers amputated due to a farming accident. While he was able to get by just fine, I always thought about regaining his ability to use his hand to the fullest again. My first real introduction to the O&P field didn’t occur until later when I was visiting my sister in Rochester. My family and I were able to walk through Limb Lab, and I fell in love with the field and knew immediately that this was going to be my future career. After receiving my undergraduate degree at the University of South Dakota, I went on to get my Master’s Degree at Concordia University in St. Paul. My main goal is to help patients regain their mobility and get them back to doing what they love. Limb Lab’s collaborative approach fosters a positive environment that benefits the team and their patients. It truly is an honor to be a part of Limb Lab’s prestigious residency program.
Before we design a device, we take time to hear your story, because your goals guide what we do. Choosing a prosthetic or orthotic provider is an important decision, and at Limb Lab care goes beyond devices; it’s built around you. From your first conversation to every adjustment along the way, we’re here to create a fit that supports your life in motion.
“My main goal is to help patients regain their mobility and get them back to doing what they love.”
– Baley Miller, Prosthetist Orthotist, Market President
“I’ve been privileged to guide people through every type of prosthetic and orthotic challenge. With the field constantly evolving, I create personalized solutions for each patient, guided by their needs and goals, and I don’t stop until it truly fits their life”.
– Jason Dean, CPO, Regional President
