Why me?
Gavin has always been a natural competitor, playing soccer, baseball, and football from a young age. Movement wasn’t just what he did, it was who he was.
Then, during a soccer game, everything changed. After a severe leg injury and a year of attempted limb salvage, Gavin and his family faced a life-altering decision: amputation.
At first, there was only one question:
“Why me?”
But over time, it shifted:
“Why not me?”

The Comeback
When Gavin came to Limb Lab Scottsdale, everything changed. With a care team who listened and designed activity-specific prosthetic solutions, he began rebuilding strength and confidence.
Step by step, walking turned into running, and running grew into training. Today, Gavin uses performance-built prostheses for the stability and freedom to sprint toward his next goal: the Paralympics.
